Early Childhood Education Endorsement Certificate (Teaching Certificate Required)
Education programs at University of Phoenix cover a variety of areas within this important field. This endorsement program is designed for already certified/licensed elementary and/or special education teachers who wish to teach in early childhood settings (birth-grade 3). The curriculum is based on state and national standards for early childhood education. It includes theories of early childhood growth and development, the significance of family and cultural diversity for learning, the use of developmentally appropriate practices, assessment techniques, and technology to promote learning. Coursework, field experiences, and required student teaching will provide teachers with the skills and knowledge necessary to be effective early childhood educators. (34 credits)
