Emergency Medical Technology

Emergency Medical Technicians rapidly assess and administer basic life support care in a number of environments. Employment opportunities in emergency medical services are excellent and projected to remain so well into the future.

Our program exceeds the standards and curriculum established by the US Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration. Graduates will qualify to take both the Commonwealth of Virginia and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians’ EMT-Basic examination.

Day and night classes starting four times a year are offered for this program with small class sizes and a diverse faculty that actively participates in multiple facets of the EMS system. This makes National College’s EMS programs unique among those in the Commonwealth and ideal for the varying needs of today’s student.
