Diversify your skills and employment opportunities by training to become an administrator in both a medical and dental office setting. The Medical and Dental Office Administrator Program at UCW Academy of Health offers an intensive program that will give you the best of both worlds. The 49-week program introduces students to the general responsibilities and specialized skills of an administrator in both facets of the health care industry.
The Medical Office Assistant Diploma phase provides students with a background in medical terminology, pharmacology and medical office protocol. Learn medical office billing procedures, how to prioritize appointments and how to prepare and administer basic medical tests. During the Dental Office Administrator Diploma term, students learn about the history of dentistry and modern dental health practice and procedures. Dental billing software and other specialized administrative duties are also part of the curriculum.
In addition to medical and dental office training, students will also obtain a Standard First Aid Corticated and CPR “C” Certificate. After the two five-week practica and job search training, you will be prepared to enter a variety of fields, including admitting clerk, medical or dental receptionist, claims administrator or even medical and dental product sales. |
